Heading to Cairns for a holiday?

Are you thinking of visiting the reef?

Perhaps planning a SCUBA Diving tour?

Let our qualified dive Doctors help you with your dive medical requirements – from the beginner/recreational diver through to professional and commercial dive medicals (AS2299). We also have an IMCA approved dive Doctor to accommodate for offshore dive medicals.

How do I know if I need a dive medical?

  •   Prior to diving, you will be given a medical questionnaire given to you by the company you are diving with. If you answer YES to any question,
you will be referred to a qualified physician for a dive medical assessment. (please note – a positive response does not automatically disqualify you from diving)
  •  If you are aged over 45, a ‘fitness to dive certificate’ will be required in order to go diving.

Aridol Challenge/ Provocation Test
Some patients who suffer from asthma or who use/have used a puffer in the past, may also need to undertake the Aridol Challenge otherwise known as a provocation test to determine if they are fit to dive.
This is usually in addition to the standard dive medical questionnaire (AS4005-1)
Please note: It is recommended that anyone with a chronic medical condition or anyone who takes medication frequently should have regular checks to ensure that they are meeting the fitness to dive standards
