Dr Cathy Meehan is registered with AMSA to provide these medicals. All AMSA medicals must be booked through Sonic Health. Please contact them on 1300 763 822 to discuss your needs.
Marine Safety Queensland (MSQ) medicals can be booked with Dr. Cathy Meehan by calling reception for an appointment. Please let them know that you are booking in for an MSQ medical.
Occupational and recreational dive medicals are available. Dr. Cathy Meehan is a nominated IMCA doctor for commercial dive medicals.
Some patients suffer from asthma or use/have used a puffer in the past. This may mean that they will need to undertake an Aridol Challenge, otherwise known as a provocation test, to determine fitness to dive. This test is additional to the standard dive medical questionnaire (AS4005-1)
Please note: It is recommended that anyone with a chronic medical condition or anyone who takes medication frequently should have regular checks to ensure that they are meeting the fitness to dive standards.
